Discussion Questions for The Self-Aware Parent

1.         Which lesson appealed to you the most/the least?

2.         Do you practice self care?  How and when?

3.         Do you see your children as teachers?  If so, why?

4.         Do you talk about feelings in your home?

5.         Do you focus on the past or worry about the future?

6.         Do you have a parenting support system?

7.         Do you think you are self aware?  Explain.

8.         Do you focus on your children strengths?  What are their strengths?

9.         Do your children respect the rules and structure in your home?

10.       Do you feel comfortable with discipline?  What methods work for you?

11.       Do you believe that you have intuition?  Do you listen to your intuition?

12.       Do you practice being "in the moment" or mindful?  Share an experience.

13.       Are you always busy?  If so, why are you always busy?

14.       Do you label your children (the shy one, the smart one, the defiant one)? 

15.       What is your favorite part of parenting?
