PICK A TOPIC (OR COMBINE A FEW):
Make YOU a Priority
Many of us lose our identity as we become mothers. We see ourselves only as moms, and we forget the other parts that make us feel whole. Learn about the importance of self-care and discover why you are actually a better mom and partner if you make your needs a priority. It’s time to put yourself on the top of the list!
Reduce the Chaos
Is your day hectic? Do you run from the moment you get up until you put the kids to bed? Discover how to manage your day and create peace in your home.
More Listening, Less Yelling
Do you yell because your child is distracted or ignoring you? How many times do you repeat yourself just to get your child to put his shoes on? Learn new ways to get your kids attention – less yelling, more peace.
Keep Your Marriage Alive
When your first baby arrives, everything changes. Husbands feel ignored, wives feel like they do everything for the house and family, and both of you feel misunderstood. Let’s discuss what’s most important in marriage and learn how to respect ourselves and each other. This is a great presentation for couples!
Balance Work and Home
The guilt is overwhelming, the emails are piling up from work, the kids want your attention, and you forgot to turn in the permission slip for the field trip. Learn tools and methods for balancing priorities and discover new paths to peace.
Mom Knows Best
Your mother-in-law criticizes your potty training methods, your babysitter offers unsolicited sleep training advice, and your sister says you must use her discipline methods. Learn to trust your instincts and politely handle other people’s parenting opinions.
Is My Child Normal?
Do you question your child’s behavior or do you worry that your children are not “normal”? Do you wish your son would be more involved in sports or that your daughter wouldn’t cry when you drop her off at preschool? Learn to appreciate your children’s differences and learn to parent with trust rather than control.
Stop the Constant Fighting
Do your children fight over everything? Do you constantly intervene in arguments and not know what to do? Learn to appreciate and understand sibling relationships and discover new ways to find family harmony.
End the Screen Addiction
Do you feel like your children get sucked into the TV, video games, or the phone? Learn how too much screen technology can affect your children and discover tools to inspire new and creative ways to fill their time.
Create a Partnership with the School
Do you wish the teacher understood your child? Is your child being overlooked or are you only hearing about behavior problems and learning issues? Discover new ways to work with your childʼs teacher to promote learning, growth, and wholeness.
Dealing with Bullies
Bullying is a hot topic and schools are offering anti-bullying initiatives and presentations for the children, parents, staff, and community. But if your child is bullied or if your child is the bully, you may need more support. Learn why children bully and get bullied and discover new ways to be supportive and understanding.
Kids and Eating
Are you concerned that your children aren’t eating healthy enough? Does it make you crazy when you throw away food because they wonʼt eat it? Do you find mealtimes stressful because of all the arguing about food? Learn tools to deal with picky eating and discover new ways to interact with your children at mealtime.
Dealing with Boredom
When your children say “Iʼm bored,” do you feel responsible for entertaining them? Does it make you crazy because your house is full of things to do, but they are still searching for more? Learn about the gift of boredom and how it can actually increase your child’s capacity for learning and imagination.
Dealing with Friendship Issues
It’s difficult to know what to say when your children are having issues with their friends. Maybe they feel hurt when they donʼt receive an invitation to a birthday party or maybe they are having arguments on the playground. Learn how to approach these issues with confidence and support your children as they discover new way to relate to people.
Talking to your Children about Sexuality
It’s a difficult topic, but it’s important to have an open and ongoing discussion in your home. Help your daughter or son find confidence and self understanding at an early age. Don’t make this important topic taboo – children are constantly bombarded with sexual content – from billboards to music….they know more than you think. Begin the conversation and allow them to ask questions without guilt or judgment. Presentation can be geared specifically toward girls, boys or both.
